Distribution: 
San Franscico to Baja California.
Habitat: 
Coastal environments, surf zone to 70 m depth.
Size: 
5-10 mm bell diameter, as adults.
Useful Facts or Characters: 

Bell is taller than it is wide; long tentacles in four bunches.

Natural History: 

The hydroid phase is often found on mollusc shells in intertidal and slightly subtidal zones.
