Useful Facts or Characters: 

Body is long, thin, slender, transparent. No collarette is present. The posterior fins are large, wide and semi-circular in shape. The tail segment is 30-40% of the total length. There are 6 to 9 hooks per side and 10-13 teeth on the head.

They are hermaphrodites, each bearing paired ovaries and testes.
