Distribution: 
Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans.
Habitat: 
Epipelagic to bathypelagic.
Size: 
Anterior nectophore up to 16 mm.
Diet: 
Small crustaceans, mostly copepods.
Useful Facts or Characters: 

The anterior nectophore has seven longitudinal ridges.  The somatocyst is cylindrical and extends 3/10 to 1/2 the length of the nectosac.  The hydroecium is short.
