Distribution: 
Pacific ocean, Atlantic ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.
Habitat: 
Neritic, nearshore.
Size: 
Anterior nectophore up to 11 mm in height.
Diet: 
Small crustaceans, mostly copepods.
Useful Facts or Characters: 

The anterior nectophore  (swimming bell) has five complete longitudinal ridges.  The somatocyst extends to 4/5 the length of the nectophore and the hydroecium extends to 3/10 the length of the nectophore.

Natural History: 

Can be very common in shallow waters.
