Reported to be associated with cnidarians such as Leuckartiara spp., Liriope tetraphylla and Aequorea spp.

Paraphronima crassipes

This species closely resembles P. gracilis.

This species closely resembles P. crassipes.

Phronima sedentaria

They make homes in hollowed out salps, then lay eggs inside the barrel.  The eggs hatch inside the barrel, which is then food for the young amphipods.

Primno brevidens

One of the most abundant hyperiid amphipods in this area.  Appears to be more abundant in summer than spring or winter.

Vibilia armata

Reported to be associated with the salp, Pegea confoederata and P. socia.
