Useful Facts or Characters: 

Stout body, very short rostrum that is rounded in dorsal view.  Longer teeth on the anterior margin of the 5th pereopod.

Natural History: 

One of the most abundant hyperiid amphipods in this area.  Appears to be more abundant in summer than spring or winter.
